Why ADIA needs its own tier logic

Average Day In America is not an arena shooter with equal spawns. You buy or loot weapons in Verdania, carry limited ammo, manage draw speed, and survive third parties while wanted. A “best gun” on a flat range can be a liability in a Benton alley when a car, shotgun, or shove interrupt your ADS. This Tier List Hub explains the ranking criteria we use, then points you to deep child pages for guns and melee.

Rankings lean on community consensus videos, public fight patterns, and practical Verdania constraints — not lab DPS alone. Patches, recoil additions, and shop location moves can shuffle mid tiers; S-tier one-tap tools and terrible starter pistols tend to stay recognizable.

Ranking criteria (open-world PvP)

We score loadouts with these weights in mind:

  1. Time-to-kill and headshot breakpoints — Can a revolver or sniper end a full-health player before they react? Does a pistol need two clean heads?
  2. Draw / equip speed — Heavy shotguns and some rifles punish you if you pull them mid-melee. Fast sidearms win surprise peeks.
  3. Fire rate vs control — SMGs spray value in bank interiors; slow heavies punish misses harder after recoil updates.
  4. Ammo economy and reload — Crate ARs feel strong until you empty a mag during a multi-player pile-on.
  5. Effective range — Snipers and marksman rifles own long Newbury sightlines; defense shotguns own doorways.
  6. Access cost — Illegal dealer prices, armory risk, and crate RNG matter for new accounts funding from EBT and jobs.
  7. Melee interrupt potential — If a metal bat or chainsaw reaches you during a long draw, the gun’s paper TTK never matters.
  8. Wanted / crime context — Loud full-auto in downtown Benton invites every third party on the server; suppressed or quick-draw tools help escapes.

Tier letter meanings

  • S — Meta defining. Worth saving for. Wins most fair fights in its range band.
  • A — Excellent and flexible. Often the smart buy before you afford S tools.
  • B — Playable with skill or in niches (budget secondary, quiet job defense).
  • C — Outclassed. Fine for memes or absolute starters, swap ASAP.

We avoid an F dump tier so early weapons still get honest advice instead of pure ridicule.

Child pages

Guns tier list

Revolvers, pistols, SMGs, shotguns, and rifles ranked with Verdania shop context. Includes community notes on compact revolvers, combat pistols, combat shotguns, and crate rifles. Watch the embedded community tier video on that page for visual comparisons.

Melee tier list

Light vs heavy blunt and bladed options, chainsaw pressure, and unarmed paths (fists, boxing, karate). Melee decides car jackings, KO finishes, and close apartment fights where guns are slow to ready.

How to use these lists in a real session

  1. Claim daily EBT and bank cash — see codes for why codes are dry and EBT matters, then make money for jobs.
  2. Buy a strong sidearm before a flashy crate rifle you cannot feed.
  3. Carry a melee you can shove-block with when someone closes distance — pair with combat fundamentals.
  4. Re-check tiers after major updates; recoil and map swaps change gunfight geometry.
  5. In stacked publics, prefer tools that forgive panic shots; in private grind servers, experiment freely.
  • Weapons guide — where shops and armories sit.
  • Players Hub — threat, wanted, and griefing context that changes which tier you should equip.
  • Guides Hub — onboarding before you sink cash into the wrong S-tier flex.

Keeping consensus honest

Creator balance passes and player skill both move the meta. A cracked aim player makes Semi Sten look like S; a new mobile player needs Compact Revolver reliability more than a spray SMG. When comments disagree with a video ranking, we note both sides on the child pages instead of pretending the meta is frozen in 2025.

Use this hub as the map. Open guns or melee for the actual S–C grids, then spend your Verdania paycheck with intent.
